A big-mountain ski trip can go haywire for a lot of reasons. There’s only one way to start experiencing them for yourself: Be your own guide and go for it.
To be clear, that’s not advice. It’s a nod to what can happen if you challenge yourself on a big objective without professional intervention.
That’s exactly what these three skiers do in “Stepping Out.” Skiing the Alaska Range for the first time, they tackle new challenges in both their discipline and their capacity for teamwork.
One says it best: “This trip wasn’t perfect [by] any means — but that’s, like, true of every trip. You never really know what you’re going to get.”
