MSR PocketRocket Deluxe Stove

Check out the MSR PocketRocket Deluxe Stove here:

With a compact design that still packs a punch, the PocketRocket Deluxe Stove offers a reliable cooking experience for lightweight expeditioners.

At 83g, this stove is super lightweight but has a larger burner head for improved heat distribution and simmering. The push-start piezo ignition is protected inside the burner with an internally routed wire, and the electrode is set deep within the burner head. It’s also got an internal pressure regulator that maintains fast boil times even in cold conditions or when low on fuel.

In this video, our gear expert Ben gives you all the details on the PocketRocket Deluxe from MSR. He starts out by showing you the storage pouch and telling you the weight and the packed dimensions.

Then he moves on to unfolding the stove, the in-use dimensions, what pot sizes fit on top, and demonstrates the piezo ignition. After that, Ben goes through the BTUs, burn times, gas consumption, and what gas canisters are compatible.

He finishes up by attaching a gas canister and turns it on to demonstrate full blast and simmer mode – so check it out above for all the details.
